Bazaar for Astro + Medusa connects the vibrant Bazaar fashion storefront to Medusa.js v2, giving you a fully self-hosted ecommerce backend with complete control over your commerce data. Products, collections, variants, and pricing are pulled from the Medusa Store API, while cart and checkout flow through Medusa’s server-side sessions. When Medusa credentials are not configured, the theme falls back gracefully to local JSON data, so you can develop and preview the full storefront without running a backend.

The storefront retains all of Bazaar’s signature features — 30+ pages, 49 components, bold gradients, Quick View modals, product gallery with hover zoom and lightbox, wishlist, compare, product reviews, and a free shipping progress bar in the cart drawer. RTL support via logical CSS properties and a client-side i18n system for English, Arabic, and French make it ready for global fashion brands. Dark and light mode switching is built in, and every page is fully responsive with mobile bottom navigation.

Medusa.js v2 provides a modern, extensible commerce engine with support for multi-region pricing, tax calculations, gift cards, discount codes, and order management. Combined with Bazaar’s frontend, you get a complete fashion ecommerce solution that you own and control — no monthly platform fees, no vendor lock-in, and full access to both the storefront and backend source code.
